Jim Nelson has been a proud resident of Palm Harbor, FL for just over 60 years. He is happily married to Sunny Nelson and has three daughters from his first marriage to Trish, who sadly passed away 12 years ago. Jim is also a loving grandfather to three grandchildren.

Professionally, Jim has an impressive background in banking, having served as the President and COO of both Flagship Bank and Jefferson Bank. He also is the immediate past Chairman of the

AdventHealth North Foundation. Jim’s dedication to his community is evident in his over 20 years of service with the Palm Harbor Fire Department, including his roles on the Palm Harbor Fire Pension Board and the Palm Harbor Fire Commission.

Jim's roots in Palm Harbor run deep. He attended Ozona Elementary, Palm Harbor Junior High School, and Tarpon Springs High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from the

University of South Florida.
